Jim Ghelis from
Tunehouse
decided to hold a Q&A
night at
Tunehouse
for owners of XR5
Turbo’s - Fords latest
little hot hatch which
has developed quite a
following.
30 members of
XR5Turbo.com arrived for
the informal seminar. To
keep everybody happy Jim
ordered Pizza which was
a great way to get the
night rolling.
After initial
introductions to those
who hadn’t been to
Tunehouse
or met Jim before it was
down to business.
XR5Turbo.com member Sean
had his car on the dyno
to demonstrate how the
Dynapack worked and
showed why the Dynapack
is such an invaluable
tuning tool, in between
runs Jim took questions
from the floor.
Jim had recently tuned
the 2 black Hatches
using the latest
software from SCT.
The hot little XR5
reached a consistent
205kw, in the linear
progressive manner that
is the hallmark of a Jim
Ghelis tune.
Certainly, an impressive
figure given the
straightforward nature
of the modifications
performed.
Ford has definitely hit
a home run – hot hatch
indeed! A
Tunehouse
upgrade improves still
further on what is
already a winner in the
bang for the buck
stakes.
All attendee’s were
unanimous in hailing the
evening a success and
all found it very
informative and
enlightening.
How refreshing to have
extremely technical
information explained in
layman’s terms... Yes,
the man truly loves what
he does, and it shows.

Jim intends to
conduct more of these
evenings in future so
stay tuned!
