Jim
The owner and the mentor. Jim started Tunehouse in 2001 and has built the brand to be synonymous with quality and service. His passion for cars and keen eye for detail earned him the reputation of being one of the most respected tuners in the country.
Through the years, Jim’s magic touch has fixed, enhanced and upgraded everything from exotic supercars and classics to Japanese performance and domestic muscle cars.
Tony
Tony has been with Tunehouse since he was an apprentice mechanic, starting with Jim in 2002. Tony now takes lead role on the tools with the technicians and is often up till all hours working with Jim on project work. His favourite part of working at Tunehouse is working with Jim and being around such a broad range of cars while doing what he loves! Cars owned quickly adds up including an Audi 80, Honda Prelude, R32 GTST while he currently commutes daily in a Suzuki Swift – his pride and Joy is a 400+ KW ATW Tunehouse Prepared S15 200SX. Dream car..? He’d consider giving up the S15 for an AMG C63!
Dave
Dave is one of the technicians at Tunehouse and is hands-on for almost every hour the doors are open. Dave started in the trade in 1989 at the age of 21 and has been with Jim and the Team at Tunehouse as a mechanic since 2002. Dave is always on hand for a good laugh and outside of work is a mad NRL fan and keeps himself active playing indoor cricket. His first car was a Ford Cortina and we’re also led to believe it was also his favourite. Dave loves working at Tunehouse for the massive variation of cars he gets to work on and the impeccable workshop and facilities.
Chris
Chris started with Tunehouse in 2011 and joins the team to help Jim with Marketing and Sales. Chris has been involved in the Performance Industry since 2001 in various roles including Workshop and Sales Manager as well as being involved in R&D and suspension tuning. Chris gets involved in circuit racing, tarmac and gravel rally as often as he can while fitting in his Business and Marketing studies. Chris’ first car was a Datsun but currently drives a modified 4WD, having owned a few V8, AWD and Turbo toys long the way. Chris’ reason for enjoying his work at Tunehouse? The team, the workshop and the cars!
David
David had a passion for driving from as early as he can remember. Shortlisted for the CAMS Rising Stars in 2005 and a number of years competing in Formula Car and Wheel to Wheel racing means David also knows a thing or two about track setup! David’s dream car is the Aston Martin DB9S GT3, but he makes do for now with his Toyota Celica race car. Having spent some time at University with an Engineering Degree in mind, David decided that hands on was what he really wanted. Add this passion and enthusiasm to the craftsmanship you’ll only find at Tunehouse and you can expect big things!
Dimitris
Why become a mechanic? I Love cars! That was all Dimitris could say when asked and who are we to argue? His experience already includes performance work with some of Australia’s fastest drag cars, Euro mechanical repairs and servicing as well as Mazda Factory training as master technician. Dimitris also enjoys the odd off road 4WD excursion in his current late model 4WD and his easily achievable favourite car would be a Nissan S15 200SX (watch this space).
